CTS Report Presented; Recommendations Approved with Item 9 Moot

The headline achievement is a $9,991,491 grant from the Lilly Endowment — the largest in the Seminary's history — for the 'Rowing Together' initiative, a collaboration with CDM, Covenant College, Geneva Benefits Group, MNA, RUF, and Geneva College (RPCNA). The grant funds new MDiv scholarships, pastoral wellbeing programs with Geneva Benefits, the Pathways to Vocational Ministry pipeline, and a relaunched Center for Ministry Leadership.
The grant addresses three documented challenges in pastoral education: fewer candidates entering the ministry pipeline, insufficient preparation for seminarians, and inadequate long-term support for pastors. Covenant is one of 45 institutions nationally to receive a Lilly grant through the Pathways for Tomorrow Large-Scale Collaboration Initiative.
