Assembly Sustains RPR Report after Morning Debate
The Assembly sustained the Review of Presbytery Records Committee's report after considering matters involving Pacific, Covenant, Eastern Canada, Ohio Valley, Grace, and Pacific Northwest presbyteries.
Commissioners defeated a motion to strike the committee's recommendation concerning Eastern Canada Presbytery. The debate concerned whether those who miss the preaching of the Word while serving in children's ministry should then receive the Lord's Supper.
The committee's remaining recommendations concerning Covenant, Eastern Canada, Grace, Ohio Valley, and Pacific Northwest presbyteries were then sustained together.
