All Horses in Harness: No Assembly-Wide Seminar, Two Major Reports Instead
The Cooperative Ministries Committee (CMC) unites the leaders of the denomination's agencies and institutions with elected GA leadership for coordinated mission. The committee met January 21, 2026, and reports multiple examples of interagency cooperation, communication, and collaboration.
Moderator Kevin DeYoung reported that both current study committees — on Christian Nationalism and on the Directory for Worship — are making significant progress and intend to report to this Assembly. The CMC also discussed rotating auditors and forming internal audit committees within each agency to ensure financial stewardship standards.
The CMC determined this Assembly will not feature an Assembly-wide seminar. Because the docket includes two significant study committee reports requiring substantial discussion time, the committee chose to prioritize those floor discussions over an additional program event.
